What does this mean? and what should i do?

C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile... refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network. Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the internet or your network, and then try again. If it still cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location.

this keeps coming up when i try to get into certain things on my computer! i came on my computer lastnight to find that wel what looks like, that most of the programmes have been whipped clean it's very wierd i have a better discription here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

usually when your dealing with system32, it is a virus.

you might want to take it somewhere to get it checked out.

Go to the folder c:\users\yourname\

if there are 2 folders named"desktop" delete the empty one. Then go to C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile and delete the folder"desktop" . Finally copy the remaining c:\users\yourname\desktop folder to C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile

If you have only one desktop folder in c:\users\yourname\ then simply copy this folder to C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile ( Overwrite)
