Help creating a image slide show. No Javascript please.?

I just want pictures to alternate in order one by one. It's for my MySpace. For example, i want image1 to show, then image 2, then image 3, and so on.

For MySpace, you'll have to try to make a flash slideshow. PhotoBucket has a slideshow maker. Upload all the images you want to use, set up the styling you want in the slideshow, make it, then copy the code needed to post it on a web site.

You could make an animated gif - one picture that's a slide show - or you could use Javascript.

There are many things you need to know if you want to do all yourself;


1. if you know just html, your site will be static and not dynamic, you need to learn server side coding langauge like asp, asp.net, or php.

Domain name is basically a "nickname" for your server, usually web, but could be mail, FTP, and so on.





Instead of a pure IP address, like 206.190.60.37, you can type in yahoo.com. And a browser would know where to go.





A DNS server then translates yahoo.com to the IP address, so your whatever program will know who to really talk to.





To put a website on the Internet needs three things: the domain name itself, the server actually hosting the content, and the actual content.

Without more details about this "free domain site", it sounds like they are giving you a free domain, but no server (the "hosting") to go with it, which is why you have to enter all that.

PhotoBooth background won

I have a Mac, and there is the program PhotoBooth, which basically takes pictures of you. It gives you an option to select backgrounds such as clouds, dots, fish, etc., then tells you to step out of the frame. I do, but when I step back in after the background has been detected, the background gets all splotchy, with parts of my room and the selected background showing. Help? What can I do to get the backgrounds to work?

Oh dear...first of all, it's definitely not hacked. No offense, but that was an uneducated response that provides no help at all.





GoDaddy.com is a hosting company. If cbitw-layouts.com is redirecting to GoDaddy.com, it likely means that the site has no content, therefore all the content has been deleted or moved for some reason. It could also mean that the website owner hasn't paid hosting fees, therefore having his/her account disconnected.





If you're concerned about why, you can send an email to GoDaddy.com support. If you do a WhoIs lookup, at www.whois.net, you may be able to find the email address of the owner and ask them what happened.





There's not a whole lot you can do. If you contact these people, you'll hopefully be able to find out what's wrong. I hope this helps.

A "Panel" is basically an area with a bunch of tools you can use. These tools are grouped together in a panel so that they are easily found and nicely organized. You can drag and drop the panels to your preference, and you can close, dock, and undock them. To close them, you just click on the X, and it will disappear. To dock/undock, just drag and drop.

Excel problem! I have several spreadsheets in a suite that have problems with updating linked cells....?

well...for starters www.graphicdesign.com is already an in-use domain name. adding /upandcomingartists doesnt do anything. it would just refer to a folder/page within the graphicdesign.com site.





www.netfirms.com is where you can purchase domain names...you may want to look into figuring how they work because if you say your a "great" designer and have no idea about websites...your credibility tanks.

I have just purchased a new Dell monitor and was supplied a Dvi cable to connect to my Acer Aspire desktop computer. I need to change settings on my computer from the DTA cable to Dvi. Please could you help. Thank you.



Never heard of "DTA."





If you want to connect a computer to a monitor's DVI input, your computer needs to have a DVI output.





The Acer Aspire E300 should have a DVI port, since it is supposed to come equipped with an nVidia 6600GT video card. Just plug one end of the DVI cable that came with your Dell monitor into the graphics card DVI port, and the other end into your monitor. (And remove the VGA cable you were using before. You don't need it.). And that's it.

Do facebook regulars have no life?

Im probably not the only one to notice this, but why on earth do people post messages such as "just got up, feeling tired today", or "just making dinner", for all your friends to see on Facebook? What is the point of such mundane crap??!! On the rare occasions I have been on (and that was only to track old school mates) I see this kind of stuff every time. Who is actually going to be interested? You wouldnt text or ring someone to tell them you have decided to do housework or cook dinner or something would you?

How do i turn an internet filter off?

I know how to change the proxy settings so that i am not going through the filter. If i turn off the filter while i am connected to my home network it won't load up any webpages, it just stays white. How do i set it so that i don't have to have it on to browse the internet at home.

From the sounds of it, you have your firewall set to block all internet access.





Open it (the firewall) and start adding programs...like Internet Explorer (or whatever browser you use).





If you have to, find a Geek you can trust and have him or her come over and check your network settings.





On the other hand, if you're a minor and you're using the home network. Ask your folks to open-up the Parental Controls some.

How Do I Address Envelopes Using The Windows Vista Word Processor?

How do I use a scanner?

I bought a new 3 in 1 printer, copier, scanner but don't know how to scan. We have Windows Vista for our operating system. I am wondering if somebody can please tell me how to scan photos, documents etc into my computer and what program do I need to be in if any to do that?

Plug it in, go to My Computer, right click your jump drive, and format it. If that doesn't work, then it is pretty much useless.

OK, so unfortunately, I can't cancel my Gaia account, so I don't even bother going on it. BUT, I'm sick of getting Gaia alerts through my Email 'cuz I don't care about them. So, how do I disable Email alerts (if there is such a way)?



log onto gaia and under 'my gaia' there should be account settings, under there you can disable email alerts.

i downloaded this program and i would like to put some movies i have on my computer onto a blank dvd, how do i work this program in order to do this



Nero generally comes with a number of programs. If your movies are mpg files or avi files, you can't use Nero 7 itself to create a video DVD.





However, Nero usually comes with Nero Vision. Nero Vision will take the video files I mentioned and convert them into a form that can be used to create a video DVD. It will burn the DVD also.

Because peoples eyes tire rapidly when they have to continuously sweep left to right horizontally over a large range. Very fatiguing to read text. Slow too.





The same reason that a letter on an standard 8.5x11 inch piece of paper is always written with the long side vertical.





Wide screen is good for video content and not much use for much else.


And even at that...too much video and TV content ends up letterboxed.




Backwards compatibility. Many 4:3 monitors are still in use these days. Plus modern widescreen LCD%26#039;s tend to have higher resolutions than the monitors of yesteryear. If you don%26#039;t like it, you can always align your windows side-by-side... People with 4:3 monitors with limited resolution at say 800x600 or 1024x768 can%26#039;t really do much to adjust the content of a window that%26#039;s designed for a 1280x800 monitor.




Web pages aren%26#039;t designed for any particular aspect ratio, most are solely designed for width. The limit on the length of a web page is usually how fast the page the page can load and the content for that particular page.





Web pages have to be designed to be assessable to a wide range of monitor resolutions, the standard monitor width until recently was 800 pixels, nowadays 1024 is the more standard screen width and so most sites are now designed for this, but even then, you%26#039;ll find the actual page width is narrower than this - usually not much more than 800 or 900 pixels.

I was on fancast.com and I accidentally left clicked and hit zoom in. I then clicked zoom out but when I go into full screen mode it doesn't show the full picture and it will not let me zoom out any more. Also show all is checked. Please help if it works you get 10 points.

Best external hard drive for an iMac?

I'm looking for an a cheap (sub $125) external hard drive used for back ups and some videos for my mac. I don't need anything over 250 gb.



Any of them will work. I am using an old Western Digital 250G external that I have had for a long time. Look for the best price.

Are blue ray DVD worth getting for your computer?

I don't watch much high def.





I already have a 52 inch Samsung LCD TV and a Playstation 3.

Blu-Ray is the 'next big thing', to the DVD as the DVD was to the CD, a way to store a lot more on a single disk. But at this point the technology is still very expensive. You don't really need it for anything, so I would say just wait for the prices to come down. Which they will. Perhaps by next Christmas Blu-Ray will be as cheap as DVD is now.




Might not be worth adding on, but if you're purchasing a new Laptop i would suggest buying one with a Blu-ray player. Eventually you're going to be disgusted at the fact that your lap top can't play the same media you're playing night in night out on your PS3.




maybe a burner for large backups.. nothing else. if you already have the ps3 i dont see a reason to have another BR-rom

If you hant to sell your computer for a good price that price will be from $400 dollars to $500 considering the ram mamory and the 100 gig hardrive




The longer you keep the less it will be worth. Be sure to reformat your old laptop and clean it up completely. I've heard of identity thiefs looking to buy old computers and then going deep into the computers to steal passwords, and online banking information.





I would list it at $300 and take nothing less than $250 for it.




If the apearane is in good shap and you can sell it to some one locally, then you can sell it for $400 easily.





Your laptop ios rather unique with an aftermarket card installed and it is a good one by the looks of it.

Reselect uTorrent download?

How do I reselect the files I want to download in uTorrent?


Say I'm downloading a TV show. I open the torrent,select to download the first season. After the torrent finishes,how do I reselect another season,without deleting the torrent?



Highlight and stop the torrent. While the torrent is still highlighted, click on the "Files" tab on the bottom of the screen.


You will see that the priority on the 2d season is set to "Do not download". Highlight the files you now want to download and then right-click on one and set Priority to "Normal".





It is a good idea to leave the 1st season as this will enable you to upload to other Peers and they will upload to you and should help your down speed.


If you are not keeping the 1st season, then you should move the files out while it is stopped and set all those to Do not download.





Either way, then right-click the torrent and select "Force Re-Check" and when that is finished, start the torrent.
